COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Getting involved makes all the difference. When you participate in neighborhood activities, you get to know your neighbors — and that connection is the foundation of a safe, supportive, and thriving community.
INFORMED NEIGHBORS
We believe that informed neighbors help keep our community strong. Staying connected and aware of what's happening in the Barber Tract fosters both safety and a vibrant, enjoyable neighborhood for everyone.
SOCIAL EVENTS
A little fun goes a long way! Our informal neighborhood get-togethers, block parties, and seasonal celebrations are a great way to meet new faces, catch up with friends, and enjoy everything that makes the Barber Tract such a great place to live.
A FEW BTNA ACCOMPLISHMENTS

- Initiated work to remove power poles and move utility lines underground
- Supported the voter-approved ban on alcohol at the beach
- Helped defeat the off-leash dog beach proposal
- Supported the law prohibiting open beach fires
- Successfully opposed the proposed Marine Memorial Mall Park on Marine Street
- Helped get overnight sleeping in vehicles on residential streets banned
- Advocated for the replacement of concrete streets in certain areas
- Participate regularly in I Love a Clean San Diego beach clean-ups
- Host annual neighborhood favorites like our 4th of July, December Holiday, and other membership gatherings
